COACHING
Our sports programs rely on dedicated volunteers to serve as coaches—and we need your support! As a coach, you will experience the joy of mentoring athletes, fostering teamwork and helping them develop both their skills and confidence. Whether you’re an experienced coach or new to the sport, you’ll be making a lasting impact on the athletes you work with while being part of a passionate community.
To ensure a safe and effective environment for all athletes, there are several steps in the coaching certification process:
- Register Online: The first step is to complete the online registration form for coaching. This will help us understand your background and the sports you're interested in coaching.
- Criminal Background Check: All coaches must undergo an annual criminal background check to ensure the safety of our athletes. There is a $5.40 fee for this check which is the responsibility of the coach.
- SafeSport Program Training: All coaches are required to complete SafeSport Program Training which educates on abuse prevention, bullying and misconduct awareness. This is essential for maintaining a safe and positive environment for the athletes that we serve.
- Additional Training (if required): Depending on the sport and the age bracket you're coaching, you may be required to complete additional module training. This training helps coaches refine their knowledge and ensures that they are equipped to provide the best experience for their athletes.
